"My girlfriend and I found this place by accident back in 2021 and have been coming back every year at least once if not twice. This place just gets it. Every room has impeccable beachfront views that give you burning sunsets in the evening and relaxing ocean sounds to wake up to. You can make an espresso and sit in bed and just watch the world go by. Very cozy. The bathrooms are magical and feel like a spa. The location is everything, close to town but far from the noise of downtown crowds. I tell everyone about this place. We were even gifted a bottle of Prosecco and a card for my girls birthday, which was very kind and unexpected of them. We will be back!!"

🗺️ 🐚 Exploring the tidal pools in Tofino is a wonderful adventure, and playing a game can make it even more exciting! Here’s a fun game called “Tidal Pool Treasure Hunt” that you can play with family and friends while discovering the amazing marine life.

👇 How to Play:

1. ✍️ Preparation: Before heading out, create a checklist of common tidal pool creatures and features you might find. This could include sea stars, crabs, anemones, sea urchins, kelp, and interesting shells. You can make it a little more challenging by including specific colours or sizes for each item.

2. 👯‍♀️ Team Up: Split into small teams or pairs. Each team will need a copy of the checklist and a small bag for collecting ‘treasures’ (like shells or interesting rocks, but remember to respect nature and leave living creatures in their habitat!).

3. ⏱️ Set a Timer: Decide how long you want the game to last—30 minutes to an hour is usually good.

4. 🐚 Hunt for Treasures: Teams will race against the clock to find as many items on their checklist as possible. Please encourage them to work together, share knowledge about the creatures they find, and take pictures for identification.

5. 🧮 Scoring: At the end of the time limit, gather and tally up each team’s findings. You can give extra points for rare finds or taking great photos of the creatures.

6. 🤓 Share and Learn: Once the game is over, take some time to share what everyone found. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local ecosystem and discuss the importance of conservation.
